Dunbar Farms is a fourth-generation, 102 year-old family farm within the city limits of Medford, OR. The family farm was founded by brothers Leonard and Alfred Carpenter in 1909, who planted the original 60 acres of pears using draft horse teams.

Although only a few pears remain, the Carpenter family has diversified the farm considerably and now produces a wide array of organically-grown crops. The farm's recent developments are focused on feeding the local community, year-round, with a balanced diet. The farm produces grass hay, Rocky Knoll Wine, eggs, grain, flour, sourdough breads, dry beans, produce with more to come. The overarching goal is to be a "complete farm" not only in the sense of producing all of the major food groups, but also in diversifying the farm landscape to the point that it becomes healthy, more productive and balanced in its uses.

DUNBAR HONOR BARN FARM STAND

 

 

Our self serve Farm Stand is open from all-hours and all-days and is lit until 10 pm through the darker months. Prices are clearly marked and there is a cash box in which to put cash or check to Dunbar Farms.
